Romelu Lukaku won’t play for Chelsea before the summer transfer window closes, according to Chelsea manager Mauricio Pochettino.

As he pursues a transfer away from Chelsea, Lukaku is presently training alone.

The Serie A giants have unable to reach a financial agreement with Chelsea, which has prevented the Belgian from finalizing his transfer to Juventus.

However, Pochettino has now made it clear that the former Manchester United forward won’t be reintegrated into Chelsea’s squad until his future is settled. Lukaku also has the option of moving to Saudi Arabia.

When questioned about Lukaku’s potential return if he is unable to leave Chelsea during the summer transfer window, Pochettino responded, as reported by Metro UK before Chelsea’s Premier League tie with West Ham on Sunday:

“It is not only one side—it is two sides needed to find the best solution.

“You cannot put it only on the club; it is about both sides. The situation is where it is because of both sides. Both sides have arrived at an agreement.

“We were informed before we signed about the situation of every single player. After we signed, we had the squad that we had.

“It is so clear that nothing has changed, and if there is something to inform, then we will inform. There is nothing for us to do. I need to be focused on my team to try to perform.”
