Akon, a Senegalese-American artist, has expressed regret over not signing Olamide Adedeji, often known as Baddo or Olamide, a native of Nigeria, years ago.
He claimed that the YBNL leader was his favorite performer at the time.
Akon expressed remorse over not signing the rapper in a Skype chat with OAP Oladotun Ojuolape Kayode, nicknamed Do2Tun, of Cool FM, Lagos.
“I would probably say the one person in Nigeria that I wish I had signed is Olamide. Honestly, I wish I had signed Olamide because he would have signed a lot of new artists anyway.
“Olamide was my favourite artist before he reinvented himself as a music executive. The first time we met, I told him he was my favourite artist,” Akon stated.
Akon once signed the Nigerian pop group P-Square to his Konvict pop record company, according to INFOXCLUSIVE.
