Naira Marley, a rapper and musician from Nigeria, has spoken for the first time since Mohbad’s passing on Tuesday.
Mohbad was buried on Wednesday in Ikorodu, Lagos State, after his away in contentious circumstances.
Naira Marley expressed his “heartbreak” about Mohbad’s passing in a statement he shared on Instagram on Friday, saying he will “truly miss” him.
Despite their disagreements, the head of Marlian Records acknowledged that “no harm was wished on Mohbad at all.”
In addition, Naira Marley expressed sympathy to Mohbad’s family and called for a thorough investigation into the 27-year-old’s passing.
