Samson Erinfolabi Balogun, often known as Sam Larry, a socialite and concert promoter from Lagos who was charged with murdering singer Mohbad, has recently spoken out.
The 27-year-old singer passed away on Tuesday in a contentious manner, according to INFOXCLUSIVE.
Sam Larry, a close friend of Naira Marley, the owner of Marlian Music and the previous manager of Mohbad, came under fire online after a video showing him and his guys interfering with Mohbad’s video shoot with Zlatan Ibile leaked on social media.
Additionally, it was claimed that once Mohbad left Marlian Record, the music promoter and his accomplices subjected him to constant intimidation and persuaded other promoters to deny him opportunities.
Three months prior, the late musician had petitioned the Nigeria Police, claiming that Sam Larry and Naira Marley were threatening his life.
In response to the accusations, Larry said that Mohbad was his adored brother and denied any involvement in a viral video on social media.
“Mohbad is my brother. When he was signed to Marlian Records, he knew I loved him so much. Even his wife and everyone else know that I love Mohbad.
“Everywhere I go, whether it is Kenya or Dubai, I will call him so that we can go together. I will pay Marlian Records for a show, and we will go together.
“The videos going viral happened last year when I was not in the country. So, I can’t kill Mohbad, God sees my heart, and I love him so much. I don’t know anything about his death.”
