Thousands of music fans demonstrated in Abeokuta, the capital of Ogun state, over the passing of Mohbad, a rising star.
Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad, died on November 6 and was buried on November 8.
His death’s circumstances have persisted in igniting debates on social media.
Supporters of the former Marlian Records signee could be seen clamoring for justice for the slain singer in a now-viral video posted on social media.
The teenagers gathered in Abeokuta’s Panseke neighborhood, where they began the Mohbad-honoring march.
Davido had previously stated that he will be traveling back to Nigeria from the UK on Thursday to take part in a candlelight procession in memory of Mohbad.
In a similar vein, Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo disclosed plans to organize a group of demonstrators on Wednesday to seek justice for the late singer.
A 13-person special investigation team was launched by the Lagos State Police Command on Monday to look into the singer’s death.
The Lagos governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, also summoned DSS agents to participate in the ongoing investigation into the singer’s death.
