In Lokoja, Kogi State, a man who received a beating into stupor on Tuesday and is thought to be a magical manhood thief.
The incident occurred when the suspect went to a store on Lokoja’s Dunamis Church Road to purchase bread.
The shop owner’s confusion began when he experienced a shock to his body and grabbed his manhood to find that it was missing.
When neighbors and bystanders heard him screaming and pleading for assistance, they attacked the culprit and gave him the most brutal beating of his life.
An eyewitness, Michael Nwankwo, told our correspondent about the development that the suspect confessed to the crime following the brutal beating and expressed happiness that the shop owner’s manhood had been restored.
In the state capital’s Ganaja and Karaworo, similar instances have taken place, and each suspect has faced mob violence.
The police have received reports and are keeping an eye on the situations, according to ASP William Aya, the police’s public relations officer, who confirmed this.
He warned the public against trying to take laws into their hands, stating that once such an allegation has been made, the public should contact the police so that they can carry out an appropriate inquiry.
He issued a warning that anyone who violates the law will face legal consequences if they are apprehended and punished.
