Olusegun Obasanjo, a former president of Nigeria, has claimed that he entered politics by mistake.
The former military leader claimed he had no interest in entering politics.
Obasanjo made this statement to a group of young people while addressing at the Olusegun Obasanjo Presidential Library (OOPL) in Abeokuta under the auspices of the Africa for Africa Youth Initiative (A4A).
He said, “I never wanted to be a politician, I became one by accident, but the love of my people, love for my country and humanity made it something that I am coming into”.
According to the former resident, politicians must strive to enter politics in order to serve.
