Bankole Wellington, also known as Banky W, has encouraged the police to exhaust all possible avenues in their ongoing inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the murder of rapper Ilerioluwa Aloba, also known as Mohbad.
He warned the police department to be open and honest about the investigation, stating that “the world is watching.”
In a recent interview with BBC Pidgin, the singer of “Ebute Metta” leveled the accusation.
He praised the governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for including the Department of State Services (DSS) in the inquiry.
Banky W said, “The story of Mohbad’s death is a heartbreaking and sad one; it was terrible what happened to him. There have been two things on my mind: number one, his death and honestly, they need to conduct a proper investigation for the sake of his wife, his son, fans and associates. I heard that the governor has brought the DSS into the investigation, but they should be thorough with their investigation because the world is watching.”
According to INFOXCLUSIVE, Mohbad passed away on September 12, 2023, in a contentious manner, and was buried the next day.
Later, his body was pulled out for an autopsy to help the police inquiry into his abrupt death, which is still ongoing.
